Doctrinal Statement
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God. It is the only written revelation which God has given to man, the supreme and final authority in all matters about which it speaks. (Ps.119: 160; II Tim. 2:15; 3:16; II Pet. 1:21)
The Godhead
We believe in one perfect, infinite, holy and eternal God, Creator of all things, eternally existent in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, each having the same nature, attributes and perfection, and each worthy of worship and obedience. (Gen. 1:1; Deut. 6: 4; Matt.28: 19)
Jesus
We believe in the eternal, pre-existence of Christ, His deity, His virgin birth and His sinless life. He died a substitutionary death on the cross, and through His shed blood paid the price for our sins. Further, we affirm His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father in Heaven, and His imminent return in power and glory. (Isa.53: 5; I Cor 15: 1-4)
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine Person, equal with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit indwells the believer, convicts him of sin and empowers him to live the Christian life. (Exod.31: 3; I Cor. 2:10-13; I Pet. 1:10-11)
Salvation
We believe that salvation by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus is available freely to all men. Through the shedding of His blood, sinners are justified. At the moment we receive Jesus Christ as Savior, we are born again, accepted into the family of God and are eternally secure from all condemnation of sin. (Isa.45: 21-23; Jn. 3:16-18, 5:24, 10:28; Eph. 2:8-9)
Man
We believe that God created man perfect, in His own image, and not by any previous existing forms of life. The first man, Adam, sinned by willfully disobeying God, resulting in spiritual and physical death, which is separation from God. Thus, all men are born with a sin nature. (Gen.1: 27, 2:16-17, 3:17; Isa.59: 2; Rom.5: 12,6:23)
The Church
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ established His Church, the body of believers. The Church serves to glorify God through worship, evangelism, instruction, and fellowship. Baptism and the Lord's Supper (Communion) are the two ordinances Christ commanded the Church to observe. (Matt.16: 18; Acts 2:41-42,47; I Cor. 11:23-26; Heb. 10:25)
The Future
We believe in the pre-tribulational rapture of the Church. We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are unsaved unto the resurrection of damnation. (Jn. 5:28-29; I Cor. 15:51-57; I Thes. 4:13-18; Rev. 20:11.15)
